The University of Southampton is a world-leading research-intensive university with a high-quality educational offering. Our Strategy Delivery Department is a friendly and busy team responsible for the management and delivery of strategic change across the University. We are investing in our strategic portfolio and seek an experienced and dynamic Change Manager to work across two related large transformation programmes to help deliver the University’s ambitious strategy.
The Role
You will work in partnership with the University’s Executive leaders, programme managers, sponsors and the Associate Director of the Strategy Office to lead the change engagement strategy for these two transformational programmes. This includes leading, managing and delivering a coordinated change and engagement strategy and plan, advising on engaging initiatives for stakeholders and the wider University community, and ensuring benefits are realized. You will identify needs and expectations to enable successful change and use best practice change management methodology to overcome resistance, blockers and challenges.
About You
You will be an experienced Change Manager and proactive problem solver who can manage multiple priorities to deliver work on time to a high standard. You’ll be a team player but also able to work independently using your initiative. A professional change management qualification or postgraduate degree is expected. You’ll be professional, clear-thinking and act as a role model within the Strategy Delivery Team.
