Production Manager
A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Production department with the appointment of a Production Manager.
As Maintenance Engineer, you will lead, organise and motivate production personnel to ensure customer satisfaction in quality and delivery in a safe and clean working environment.
Working from their manufacturing facility in Warwickshire, the Production Manager will be responsible for:
* Address all health and safety
* Plan and implement the most effective use of manpower and equipment
* Be responsible for training of all work instructions (where possible)
* Liaise with customers as required in order to maintain excellent service and relationships
* Ensure all production and quality processes and procedures are carried out as required
* Ensure training for all personnel is carried out as planned and records are kept up to date at all times
* Identify, lead and promote continuous improvement activities
* Prepare management reports
* Be responsible for achieving goals and KPI’s
* Train, motivate and develop team leaders and production operators
* Maintain positive relationships with all other departments and personnel
* Ensure the required housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained at all times
* Manage timeeeping and attendance
* Manage disciplinary issues to final written warning level and undertake investigations and write investigation reports when required
* Maintain regular formal and informal communication with your team
* Ensure review meetings for all employees on shift are held according to relevant timescales including probationary review meetings and employee dialogue
* Contribute in continuous improvement process.
* Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation during the undertaking of all duties
The successful candidate should have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Manufacturing or equivalent with strong leadership skills.
