Job Overview
Amazon Web Services is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead and drive large, cross‑functional programs for the AWS Subsea network. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, managing compliance and reporting requirements, and supporting financial and project management for subsea engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage compliance and reporting requirements for the global AWS subsea network.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Coordinate financial and project management activities within the subsea engineering team.
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and senior leadership to meet program goals and timelines.
* Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the subsea portfolio.
About the Team
The Subsea engineering team is responsible for all aspects of submarine network deployment, operation, upgrades and management. The team owns the technology roadmap and standards for submarine fibre optic cable, installation methods, procurement, operational models and security postures, working closely with regional business development teams.
Basic Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in program management, preferably on a global scale.
* Knowledge and experience with submarine cable systems.
* Experience with automation, operational excellence, or continuous improvement techniques.
* Experience in compliance and risk management, including developing and executing compliance management techniques.
* Experience guiding senior management and working across commercial, technical, domestic, and international arms of an organization.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with AI tools and automating work flows.
* Ability to merge traditional project management with agile processes.
* Experience compiling financial records and forecasts.
* Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
