Specializing in the transportation of horticultural Danish Trolleys, we are a proud member of the Palletforce Pallet Network with a diverse fleet of DAF trucks and a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional service.
*Job Summary*We are seeking an energetic and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, Your main tasks will be TRAMPING general haulage collections and deliveries across the UK, with nights out (average 4 -5 nights out per week).
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate a tractor-trailer or other heavy goods vehicles, including flatbeds, tankers, and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
* Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment
* Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with legal standards
* Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency while maintaining accurate delivery schedules
* Communicate clearly with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit
* Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
* Assist with yard duties as needed to support warehouse operations
* *Qualifications*
* Valid UK driving license with appropriate endorsements for truck operation.
* Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
* Excellent driving record.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Good communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
