Shifts: Full time (9am – 5pm) with an element of on call

Job Description
What you’ll do
Every day as a Senior Care Assistant is different, but your impact is always the same – life-changing.
You’ll:
● Support the delivery of the highest quality care in the community
● Complete assessments and reviews of individual care services
● Provide practical supervision, instruction, and support to Care Assistants
● Work with Care Coordinators to plan effective and realistic care worker rotas
● Carry out regular needs and risk assessments, including renewed and repeated reviews
● Participate in multi-disciplinary reviews of service users’ needs
● Shadow new care workers to ensure their competence and confidence
● Observe and evaluate care worker practice as part of routine supervision or when performance concerns arise
● Provide personal care with dignity and respect
● Complete essential administrative tasks linked to care delivery and service quality
Senior Care Assistants spend most of their time in the community fulfilling these responsibilities, while also supporting office-based administration as required.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
You’ll need experience in:
● Carrying out initial risk and needs assessments for individual service users, either in their own homes or in other settings such as hospitals or residential/nursing homes
● Working in partnership with service users, their families, carers, advocates, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure seamless, holistic care
● Supporting high-quality care delivery and contributing to safe, person-centred care planning
● Communicating clearly, professionally, and with compassion when coordinating care and reviewing needs
4. Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
