Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Operations & Maintenance Engineer to support our Optimised Energy team
Hybrid working with expectation of working 3 days from our Aberdeen office.
The Role
Due to rapid acceleration in our secured & assumed work we are looking to expand the Optimised Energy maintAI delivery team. You will be part of an entrepreneurial team within Wood, developing and delivering a cutting‑edge product across EMEA and the rest of Wood's global footprint.
We are looking for the right people to join our team and previous knowledge of AI is not required. If you are curious, technically‑minded and have some pre‑existing experience in operations, maintenance or reliability engineering we would love to speak to you. We would also encourage applications from site or offshore personnel looking to move into a flexible onshore position.

Responsibilities
* Provide Operations, Maintenance and/or Reliability Engineering expertise for maintAI delivery projects
* Support the maintAI development team to enhance and improve the maintAI product through improved modelling or increased automation
* Support Senior Operations Manager & Delivery Lead to ensure Project Delivery timelines are met
* Assist in consulting our clients through management of change process

Qualifications
* BSc, BEng, BTech. Degree in either Electrical/Mechanical/ Instrumentation/ Industrial Engineering discipline
* Alternatively we are extremely keen to speak to people who have built their experience through working on a high‑hazard site within Energy or Materials industries but may not be degree qualified
Job‑Specific Skills and Experience
* Experience in the operation and maintenance of oil and gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing
* Knowledge of reliability and maintenance processes, e.g. Criticality Assessments, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance Studies
* Understanding of key asset management standards, e.g. ISO 14224, ISO 55001
* Experience in maintenance data development and updates
* Functional and technical knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
* Strong analytical skills. Data analytics, database, and spreadsheet manipulation skills
* Knowledge of Agile processes
* Knowledge and awareness of the local statutory or regulatory maintenance requirements and risk management programs
