Care Assistant / Home Care Worker
£12.75–£13.25 per hour + Paid Travel Time + Mileage
Harlow & surrounding villages
Morning & Evening shifts: 8am–12am & 4pm - 8pm

Home Instead Harlow is recruiting Morning & Evening Care Assistants, Support Workers, HCAs and Home Carers to support older adults with their evening routines – helping them feel safe, comfortable and cared for in their own homes.
This role is ideal if you’re balancing study, childcare, another job, or simply prefer working evenings.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll provide calm, reassuring support during the evening, including:
1. Personal care (washing, toileting, getting ready for bed)
2. Medication prompts and mobility support
3. Preparing light meals, drinks and snacks
4. Companionship and friendly conversation
5. Supporting clients to feel settled and safe overnight
6. Writing short care notes after each visit
7. Occasionally supporting clients with social visits or appointments
No rushed calls – we allow time for quality care.
Pay & Benefits
We reward our carers properly:
8. £12.75–£13.25 per hour
9. 30p per mile mileage + paid travel time
10. Evening-only shifts (4pm–10pm)
11. Holiday pay and workplace pension

What We’re Looking For
16. No Experience necessary as full (Paid) training is provided
17. Confidence supporting people with dementia or complex needs
18. A calm, kind and respectful approach
19. Full UK driving licence & access to a car (essential)
20. Good spoken and written English
21. Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check
