We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our clients team in Belfast. The ideal candidate will be 1-2 years post qualified. Duties: Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data. Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Manage the audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors. Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.), ensuring compliance. Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with budget holders. Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making. Develop, improve, and document financial processes and internal controls. Support or lead projects such as systems implementations, acquisitions, or process automation. To carry out any other reasonable duties as required Actively participate in creating a safe and environmentally friendly workspace by raising HSE concerns when needed. Requirements: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA ) Newly qualified accountant trained in a top-tier accounting firm or experience in a similar role in industry. Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commercial acumen and ability to challenge and support operational teams. Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
