Role and responsibilities
With 14 main garden sites and dedicated garden teams, we are looking for a Gardener to join our team at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens. This is a full time role working 36 hours per week.
Brodsworth Hall & Gardens are multi award winning restored Victorian pleasure gardens featuring extensive formal flower displays, a historic rock garden, a unique fern dell, and various other Victorian elements like a rose garden and Italian garden. Owned by English Heritage, these 18 acres of gardens retain their 1860s appearance and offer a historical experience complete with unique Victorian structures such as an archway, bridge, and a former archery target house

Qualifications and requirements
As a Gardener, you\'ll play a vital role in ensuring our gardens are well maintained and presented wonderful places to spend time in. You\'ll contribute to bringing to life the stories that our gardens tell, helping visitors of all ages make new discoveries. The role will include all aspects of horticultural practices from mowing to pruning. The garden team are regularly undertaking to projects to restore the gardens back to their former Victorian splendour. With this role you will also get the opportunity to work at our two satellite site gardens, Bolsover Castle and Gainsborough old Hall.
You will be qualified to at least NVQ level 2 standard in amenity horticulture, and have previous experience of working in a high-quality horticultural establishment. You will work to high standards and be effective and efficient when working on your own or as part of the wider team.
