Role Overview
As an IT Solutions Architect, you’ll provide technical leadership and architecture design across our technology and security functions as we grow our plans for a true tech-enabled future.
It’s about maintaining and aligning roadmaps to business strategy, working with stakeholders to define departmental and organisational strategy, and translating problems into easily understood technical descriptions. This is a key role that will help us digitise our products, create outstanding experiences for our members, and drive our innovative tech strategy.

Projects and Tech
In this role, you’ll work on innovative projects like our UK-first Affordability Index tool, helping us create outstanding experiences in savings, mortgages, and more.
We value tech and data highly, with a tech stack including Azure, React, .NET, MS Power Platform, and Dynamics. We support continuous learning with two days per month dedicated to L&D, including cross-skilling, hackathons, and certifications.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and communicate multi-dimensional solution architecture to deliver business outcomes
* Lead technical planning and resource deployment
* Provide technical guidance and governance on solution development and integration
* Evaluate change requests and deviations, recommending actions
* Ensure application of technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security)
What We Need From You
You should be familiar with the software development lifecycle and have knowledge of information systems implementation and operation.
Additionally, you need:
* Knowledge of technology infrastructure, data, security, and software development methods, tools, and techniques
* Experience in technology strategy, policies, standards, and industry regulations
* Understanding of risk management, change management, and reliability methods
* Familiarity with industry bodies
* Leadership skills in operational management
* Mentoring and coaching abilities
* Creative problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas to broad audiences
