Victim Support (VS) Job Description
Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide direct support to victims of crime, ensuring that the North Wales Victim Help Centre helps people cope and recover from the effects of crime.
Community and Service Delivery
North Wales Victim Help Centre serves diverse communities, many of whom face barriers such as financial distress, social isolation, reduced mobility, health issues, substance use, and lack of opportunity. The centre aims to identify what matters to service users and empower them to take control of their journey.
Responsibilities
* Deliver needs-led support to victims of crime.
* Provide peer support to volunteers supporting service users.
* Work with external partners, including police, statutory agencies, and third sector organizations, to develop strong community links.
* Assist in implementing workforce plans and developing the service to maximize positive outcomes.
