A well-established regional law firm is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its respected Dispute Resolution team in Brighton. The incoming Associate will handle a varied caseload of professional negligence and commercial dispute resolution matters. Work is likely to include banking and finance litigation, contractual and commercial disputes, negligence claims, shareholder disputes, defamation, judicial review and elements of contentious insolvency.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing technical expertise within all relevant areas of dispute resolution.
* Leading matters or internal initiatives when appropriate.
* Supervising colleagues working on shared matters.
* Progressing client matters efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of file management and compliance.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required
* Solid experience in commercial dispute resolution, ideally including professional negligence.
* Strong understanding of contractual and tortious principles, remedies and the CPR.
* A pragmatic, commercially aware approach to problem-solving.
* Proven experience advising clients and managing client relationships.
