About The Role
Working Pattern
A Night shift cook
Monday 23:00 – 05:00 (½ hour break, 5.5 hours)
Tuesday 23:00 – 00:30 (½ hour break, 5.5 hours)
Saturday 23:00 – 00:30 (½ hour break, 5.5 hours)
Sunday 23:00 – 00:30 (½ hour break, 5.5 hours)
Key Responsibilities
* Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads
* Be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including cleaning utensils, tableware, and catering stations
* Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, ensuring that food and supply storage areas are organised
* Serve food items to customers in accordance with the menu prepared by the Chefs; General Assistants may act as a host/waiter for events when needed
What Are We Looking For?
* Must have the Right to Work in the UK
* Commercial kitchen experience is valued but not essential
* Ideally possess a basic Catering and Hospitality certificate such as Food Handling or equivalent; not essential as we can provide this
* Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to stand for extended periods due to the physical nature of the job
