The Cash Manager and the Cash Management team are part of the wider financial accounts team. The function of the Cash Management team is to provide the Trust with an efficient and cost-effective accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury management service. As part of this remit the Cash Manager and Assistant Cash Manager are responsible for the provision of information and advice on financial issues to non-financial managers. These services include, income, debtors, VAT, cash flow and the general office functions (e.g. purchase card and petty cash) for the Trust. The Assistant Cash Manager will take the day-to-day responsibility for a number of agreed services from the list of services referenced above to include management of the Finance Officers for the agreed services, and will be accountable to the Cash Manager for performance and provision of information in this area. From time to time the post holder will undertake other duties as agreed with the Cash Manager or other senior members of the Financial Accounts and Cash Management team. This will include deputising for colleagues at meetings when required; the provision of data requests for statutory returns, freedom of information requests and contributing to wider finance team developments such as the attendance of away days, the annual Budget Holders Conference and contribution to non-finance communications such as the Budget Holders Newsletter etc.,
Responsibilities
* Responsible for cashier function and accounts receivable. This includes ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled, raising invoices, chasing aged debt and preparing month end reporting.
* Leading the purchase card and petty cash function. This includes requesting new card users, ensuring credit limits are in line with policy and posting month end journals for spend to the ledger.
* Supporting the financial running of the Charity. This involves quarterly reporting, monitoring of donations and liaising with fund users.
* Line management responsibility for finance officers across multiple sites.
* Deputising for Cash Manager.
