Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Duties
* Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring that items are handled safely and efficiently.
* Perform shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders.
* Conduct materials handling tasks, including sorting, packing, and preparing items for dispatch.
* Carry out equipment repair as needed to ensure all machinery is in good working order.
* Utilise forklifts for moving heavy items within the warehouse while adhering to safety protocols.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote an efficient working environment.
* Assist with basic math calculations for inventory management and stocktaking.
Experience
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a proven track record in similar roles.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous for effective inventory control.
* Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for performing equipment repairs as required.
* Experience in materials handling and shipping & receiving processes is essential.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift is required.
