Job Description
The Commercial Solicitor will be:
3. Drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts, licences, data processing agreements and technology arrangements
4. Supporting data protection and privacy compliance work, including cross‑border data transfers
5. Advising clients in the FS, health & social care and technology sectors on risk allocation, regulatory interfaces and governance
6. Collaborating with teams across jurisdictions to deliver integrated, commercial legal solutions
7. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, managing relationships, and contributing to business generation
The Successful Applicant
The Commercial Solicitor should be:
8. A solicitor (or equivalent) with 2+ PQE in commercial/technology / data protection work
9. Comfortable advising across sectors (FS, health & social care, tech)
10. Experienced in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial and data-related contracts
11. Knowledgeable about UK data protection law (GDPR, UK GDPR, DP regimes)
12. Confident working with cross-border issues and interfacing with regulatory considerations
13. Client‑facing, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
14. Self-motivated, commercially aware, and able to balance multiple matters
