R13 Recruitment are partnering a highly regarded construction group in search of an Estimator to join their pre-construction team. Working alongside an experienced Senior Estimator, this role will play a key part in supporting land appraisals, tender submissions and commercial decision-making across the company’s new developments in the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator with a strong understanding of construction costs, risk and value engineering, who enjoys working collaboratively across pre-contract, commercial and development teams.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, full time working across the region with site visits required. An offered salary of between £55, – £65, DOE with a company car or car allowance offered alongside.

The Day to Day:
3. Preparing detailed cost estimates and land appraisals to support new opportunities.
4. Working closely with development and commercial teams to identify risks and value engineering solutions.
5. Producing accurate prime cost calculations and tracking cost movement throughout the pre-contract stage.
6. Supporting the tendering and subcontractor evaluation process.
7. Maintaining up-to-date cost data in line with market conditions and supply chain pricing.
8. Preparing cash flow forecasts aligned to development programmes.
9. Participating in bid and appraisal review meetings, clearly outlining assumptions, risks and commercial considerations.
10. Advising on abnormal costs and alternative appraisal scenarios to support decision-making.
11. Undertaking site visits to understand construction methods and site-specific challenges.
You Will Have/Be:
12. Proven experience in an Estimator role within construction or housebuilding.
13. Strong understanding of land appraisals, tendering and cost planning.
14. Commercially astute, with the ability to identify and manage risk.
15. Confident working with estimating and appraisal software.
16. Comfortable presenting information and contributing to bid reviews.
17. Strong communication skills, able to work collaboratively across teams.
18. Well-organised, detail-focused and deadline-driven.
19. Willing to visit sites as required.
