About the role
As our Cyber Vulnerability & Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our cyber resilience by owning and leading both the Vulnerability Management Programme and Threat Intelligence Programme. Your work will directly influence how we detect, assess and reduce cyber risk across our corporate IT, cloud and operational technology (OT) environments.

What you will be responsible for
You will lead the organisation's vulnerability and threat intelligence functions, driving measurable risk reduction and ensuring timely, informed and evidence‑based cyber defence decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading vulnerability assessment, analysis and prioritisation across IT, cloud and OT environments.
* Leading threat intelligence collection, enrichment, analysis and dissemination, covering OSINT, commercial feeds and sector intelligence.
* Owning remediation tracking and coordination, driving timely and accountable closure of risk items.
* Producing dashboards, metrics and executive‑ready reporting to shape cyber risk understanding and investment decisions.
* Driving process improvement and building awareness across teams to strengthen vulnerability and intelligence maturity.
Additional requirements specific to this role
* Operation and oversight of vulnerability management and threat intelligence platforms such as Qualys, Defender Vulnerability Management and Recorded Future.
* Collaboration with SOC, Infrastructure, Applications, OT Operations, Risk and Senior Leadership.
* May contribute to incident response where vulnerable assets or threat intelligence insights are required.
What you'll bring to the role
Essential
* Strong understanding of vulnerability management principles, scanning technologies and risk‑based prioritisation approaches.
* Experience operating tools such as Qualys, Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management or Recorded Future.
* Hands‑on experience collecting and analysing cyber threat intelligence.
* Ability to translate technical findings into business‑focused risk insight for senior stakeholders.
* Degree‑level education or equivalent experience, with 3–6 years in cyber security, threat intelligence or vulnerability management.
* Solid understanding of CVE, CVSS, MITRE ATT\&CK and core security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO
Desirable
* Industry certifications (e.g., GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, CEH, Security+, GIAC).
* Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python).
* Exposure to critical national infrastructure or utilities environments.
* A highly analytical mindset, strong communication skills and a proactive, curious approach to emerging threats.
