Job Description:
Scope of Role:
* Build mechanical and/or electrical assemblies according to technical drawings; welding, plasma welding, brazing, and soldering skills are highly desirable.
* Upgrade and repair mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
* Test assembled products.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
* Mechanical assembly, including bending and forming copper tubes, brazing connections, and using drawing and CMMs.
* Electromechanical work on fans, motors, and heaters per drawings or CMMs.
* Use hand tools and measuring equipment such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, pipe/tube forming tools, and welding.
* Soldering components.
* Perform mechanical and electrical tests as per process control documents (e.g., resistance, inductance).
* Adhere to manufacturing procedures and complete relevant documentation.
* Assist customers, suppliers, and visitors, communicating effectively at all levels.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities.
* Use PPE when provided.
* Complete activities timely to meet manufacturing targets.
* Assist with ad hoc duties, including training colleagues and supporting other departments.
Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions:
* Undertake required training.
* Support additional reasonable requests by managers or directors.
* Provide flexible support during reduced staffing to ensure customer satisfaction.
Professional Knowledge & Experience:
* Ability to read and understand drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
* Work from SOPs alongside drawings and prototypes.
* Proficient in English reading, writing, and understanding.
* Knowledge of tools such as circlip pliers, screwdrivers, sockets, torque wrenches, and cutting tools.
* Skills in welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing, forming, fitting, and testing.
* Experience with machines like lathes and drills.
* Previous experience in a production environment with electro/mechanical assembly.
* Experience assembling components like valves and solenoids into refrigeration circuits.
* Teamwork, methodical approach, good time management, communication skills, self-motivation, and professionalism.
