Accounts Manager
Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
Clark Wood, specialists in accountancy practice recruitment, are excited to partner with a highly respected independent firm seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their team in Potters Bar.
This position has become available due to internal growth, with a senior manager being promoted to Director. As an Accounts Manager, you will play a crucial role in the firm’s ongoing success by managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including small to medium limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships across various sectors. You will be the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Support partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad hoc project work.
Prepare and review statutory and management accounts.
Prepare and review tax computations and returns.
Act as the main point of contact for a variety of clients.
Oversee billing and workload management for your team to exceed client expectations.
Review junior staff work and provide guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
Strong practice experience is essential.
Proven client management skills.
Experience in reviewing junior staff work is preferred.
Excellent communication skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
