Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Service Engineer based in Chelmsford, with flexibility for partial remote work. The Service Engineer will be responsible for system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of security systems, including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. Daily tasks will include conducting field service activities, providing technical support, and ensuring optimal system performance for clients. The role also includes coordinating with clients to address system issues and providing expert recommendations for system enhancements.
Qualifications
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
* Experience in field service operations and familiarity with on‑site system maintenance.
* Excellent communication skills for client interactions and technical support.
* Expertise in repair and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intercom systems.
* Proficiency in system diagnostics tools and understanding of electronic security systems.
* Relevant certifications or training in the security or IT industry is a plus.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to hybrid working environments.
* Full UK driving license preferred due to fieldwork requirements.
