Overview
The Headteacher of one of our local Community Schools in the Blackburn area is looking to recruit an experienced School Administrator who has experience within this type of office support role. The role requires a very strong knowledge of SIMS, FMS and CPOMS and confidence working in a busy school office environment. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 16:00. The position is to cover a maternity leave, with a two-week handover period alongside the current administrator. The role is due to start within the next six weeks and will be required until July 2026. Holding a valid and updated DBS would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
* Work in a busy school office environment.
* Process orders and invoices efficiently.
* Provide administrative support as part of maternity cover (handover with the current administrator).
Requirements
* Previous experience within a school office.
* Strong knowledge of SIMS, FMS and CPOMS for reporting.
* Experience in processing orders and invoices.
* Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00).
* Ability to start within the next six weeks; role until July 2026.
* DBS check (current or updated) advantageous.
