Evening Customer Service Advisor

Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 17:00 – 01:30
Salary: £27,039
Purpose
To be the first point of contact for customers, listen attentively and communicate effectively to deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction, ensuring a faultless supply of quality goods.
Duties
* Process voicemail and email orders accurately and efficiently adhering to distribution deadlines.
* Monitor and verify orders received, resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues where necessary.
* Liaise with customers regarding stock shortages, special orders and alternative products.
* Monitor stock availability, arrange suitable product substitutions where possible and communicate any unavailable items to customers.
* Handle general enquiries and direct more complex queries to the appropriate department for resolution.
* Encourage additional sales where appropriate, promoting short‑dated or overstocked goods.
* Update the system with any relevant information received.
* Understand the business and obtain knowledge of both the company and our customers.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
* Previous customer service experience.
* Good telephone manner.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams).
* Ability to solve problems within the area of work.
* Able to multi‑task and prioritise workload appropriately.
* Accurate and thorough with attention to detail.
* Self‑motivated, able to work on own initiative.
* Understanding of a quality‑focused environment.
