GTCS Registration
You must be registered with the GTCS and maintain this registration, including paying any applicable fees. Teachers in their probationary year can apply for temporary, un-promoted roles at the probationer pay rate of £31,584 per year (pro-rata if applicable).
RC Approval
If applicable, candidates must obtain approval from the Roman Catholic Church to teach in a Catholic school, following Section 21(A) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980. Forms are available at https://sces.org.uk/church-approval/.
