About the Royal Agricultural University (RAU):

The RAU Archive and Special Collections is a vital part of the university's institutional memory, enhancing its reputation and profile. The preservation and access to this resource are central to our identity. A key aspect of the Archivist's role will be to raise the visibility of the archives and collections, showcase their value, and engage with stakeholders to promote the service, as well as managing the archives and collections themselves.
The Role
This role reports to the Library and Archives Manager, within the Innovation and Learning directorate.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in an archive role, with knowledge of cataloguing, copyright, GDPR, and intellectual property rights.
* Commitment to maximizing discovery and access to archival materials.
* Experience in critically appraising and acquiring/rejecting materials for collections.
* Experience in Higher Education is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent customer service skills for handling enquiries and stakeholder communication.
