Westside Distribution is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Glasgow. Since 1995, we have been a leading distributor of distinguished musical instrument brands and are deeply committed to representing the finest names in the industry.
We are looking for a highly organised and methodical individual. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a strong working knowledge of musical instruments, with a particular emphasis on guitars.
Role Responsibilities
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring 1-3 days of work per week (9 AM - 5 PM) as needed. The role is central to the efficient management of our stock and involves:
* Stock Control: Assisting in the management of all incoming and outgoing stock.
* Logistics: Safely and efficiently moving, handling, picking, and packing products.
* Brand Representation: Playing an integral part in our mission to represent the many prestigious brands we distribute throughout the UK.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
* Essential Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the unique requirements associated with the proper care and handling of musical instruments is essential.
* Professional Competencies: Demonstrated self-motivation, strong organisational skills, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
* Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
* Safety Awareness: A solid working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety principles.
* Driving License: A full, clean UK driving license is preferred.
* Training will be provided on our internal systems and all relevant health and safety protocols.
