Band 5 Dietitian – Rotational Post – Nutrition and Dietetics Service, NHS Fife.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Nutrition and Dietetics Service in Fife. The Band 5 post is rotational and offers a range of opportunities to develop your knowledge, skills and experience across different clinical teams and areas of dietetics. Rotational posts are available within the Hospital Services Team, Community Services Team, Diabetes and Weight Management Team, and Child and Young Person Team.
We are looking for a Band 5 Dietitian with strong clinical, organisational, communication and team‑working skills to join the NHS Fife Nutrition and Dietetic Service.
Dietitians work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Nutrition and Dietetic Service, as well as consultants, GPs, nursing staff, AHPs and wider MDT teams.
Band 5 posts typically rotate every 9–12 months. The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and current service demands will determine the initial team placement.
The service delivers a range of dietetic‑led models of care across Fife and supports staff in their continuing professional development. Staff are encouraged to participate in fortnightly education and training sessions delivered on Teams, peer support networks and the organisation of dietetic student placements.
Registered with HCPC, you will have the skills, competencies and experience appropriate for the posts. Induction and training will be provided to facilitate transition into your new role.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical dietetic assessment, care and advice to patients and their families across multiple settings.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans.
* Participating in the delivery and organisation of student placements and supporting staff education.
Key qualifications and experience:
* Registered Dietitian with the HCPC.
* Strong clinical experience and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
