An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Civil/Structural Engineer to join a leading international engineering consultancy to be based in Belfast. They have a strong presence across the UK and Ireland. With over 30 years of experience in deliveringplex energy infrastructure projects, this organisation is recognised for its technical excellence, innovation, andmitment to sustainability. Operating from offices around the UK and Ireland, the consultancy supports clients across the energy transition, offering services in renewable energy, energy storage, waste-to-energy, carbon capture, and decarbonisation strategies.
Your new role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll contribute to the design, inspection, and delivery of civil and structural elements for high-profile energy projects. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct inspections of concrete and steel structures
2. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
3. Produce technical reports and feasibility studies
4. Apply knowledge of piling, geotechnical studies, and environmental factors
5. Ensurepliance with CDM regulations and identify design risks
6. Collaborate effectively within project teams and with stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
7. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with 8 years UK experience
8. Working towards or holding chartered status with Engineers Ireland
9. Experience in heavy civils and quality inspections
10. Strong understanding of construction codes and methodologies
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation
12. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
