Commercial Manager – Defence Infrastructure & Facilities
Location: South West England
Salary: Up to £85,000 DOE
Security Clearance: Required
A key player in the Defence infrastructure space is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial delivery of large-scale facilities and estate projects across the South West.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to support nationally significant programmes, ensuring robust contract management, cost control, and commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead commercial management across multiple infrastructure and facilities projects
* Oversee procurement, contract negotiation, administration, and compliance
* Manage cost planning, forecasting, and change control in line with contractual frameworks
* Ensure effective stakeholder management, including MOD clients, suppliers, and delivery teams
* Support risk management and resolution of contractual issues
* Drive value for money while maintaining high standards of governance and delivery
Requirements:
* Strong experience in commercial or contract management within Defence, construction, or infrastructure sectors
* Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 or other government contract forms
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Familiarity with MOD commercial procedures is highly desirable
* Active Security Clearance (SC) – essential
* Professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIPS, or similar is preferred
