Majestic is the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer, operating numerous stores nationwide. Founded in, the company recently transitioned back to private ownership after Fortress Investment Group's acquisition, undergoing a significant transformation with record market share growth, a new website, and six new stores, with plans for expansion over the next five years. We offer over 1, different wines, spirits, and beers both online and in-store, with knowledgeable, friendly staff trained to WSET standards.
The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will participate in a 12-month development program designed to prepare you for a future Store Manager role. You will work through comprehensive training with support from your Store Manager to set you up for success.
Key Responsibilities
As the store ambassador, you will support the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences, drive store performance by maximizing sales and KPIs, and provide exceptional service to foster customer loyalty and repeat business.
Offer VIP concierge-style service, actively engage customers with updates on products and tastings, and promote our range passionately through tasting events and product knowledge to support your WSET qualifications.
Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards, participate in all operational tasks, and continuously seek improvements to optimize store performance.
Ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations, pursue personal development, and exemplify Majestic’s values and working standards to support junior team members.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality, delivering exceptional customer service, problem-solving under pressure, and working independently or in teams. Passion for learning about wines and willingness to achieve WSET Level 2 & 3 qualifications. A full UK/EU/EEA driving license with minimal penalty points is required.
