Job Details Working as part of the management team of a specialist service supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex behaviours. You will undertake a range of management and care tasks demonstrating leadership skills in an encouraging and supporting role. You will provide “on the job” coaching as necessary overseeing and monitoring working practices. You will also work collaboratively alongside other professionals, utilising sound practice and knowledge. The Person This role requires strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to helping people regain independence and well-being. You must demonstrate good communication skills, organisational skills, ability to manage and prioritise workload, ability to work with minimal supervision, team working skills, literacy skills, and have IT skills. Service induction and mandatory training will be provided. Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) with 32 annual leave days rising to 37 days after 5 years. You will have experience/awareness of National Care Standards service and SSSC Codes of Practice. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. As this role requires SSSC registration, you will have three months to apply for registration. If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months. If you need to achieve a qualification to maintain your SSSC membership, information will be provided if you are appointed.
