The role
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll undertake servicing, repair, maintenance, and overhaul of vehicles and electrical equipment, including diagnostic and inspection duties. You will also carry out equipment examinations to meet production requirements.
Your daily tasks include working to the required standards and specifications, in accordance with customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, process plans, and technical publications. You will ensure proper use of stores and equipment issued to your job.
* Diagnose, inspect, and assess vehicles and associated mechanical or electrical equipment based on your skills and competencies.
* Ensure proper use of stores and equipment, and return unused or faulty materials to the appropriate department or team leader.
* Create job cards and order materials using ERP (SAP) systems, provided you have completed relevant training.
* Complete documentation and test certificates or reports for vehicles and equipment according to current standards.
This position involves manual work, including lifting, bending, using tools, and standing for extended periods.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based onsite at Sennybridge.
Essential experience
* Previous experience in a similar role is required.
* Experience in dealerships or local garages.
* A team player with adaptability and good rapport-building skills.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair.
