TM Scotland East Kilbride & Glasgow are pleased to be partnering with a new client based in Kilsyth to recruit an experienced Labourer/Forklift Driver/Waste Coordinator. This opportunity is offered on a temp to perm basis, with employment provided through Taskmaster.
Our client, a well-respected employee-owned business, is currently looking to add a reliable and proactive Labourer / Forklift Driver / Waste Coordinator to their team. This is a crucial support role covering both the machine shop and press shop, ensuring safe, clean, and efficient operations.
This is initially a temporary role with a genuine opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift truck safely to load, unload, and transport materials
Carry out general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Segregate and manage metal waste such as swarf, bar ends, and cut-offs
Liaise with waste contractors to coordinate skip collections and replacements
Assist in managing minor spills and maintaining site waste compliance
Contribute positively to a safe and efficient team environment
What we require for you to be considered:
Valid Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial setting
Knowledge or certification in Health & Safety practices, particularly spill response, is highly desirable
Strong organisation skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
A hands-on, proactive, and safety-first attitude
