gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Quality Control Chemist to work at their facility based near Widnes
Performance Objectives
There is an opportunity to join the shift team as a QC Chemist; the ideal candidate will be self-motivated; work well as part of a team or with minimum supervision; and enjoys working in a highly regulated and technical environment.
Reporting to the QC Team Leader, the Quality Control Chemist's role is to analyse a steady throughput of inorganic samples to meet demanding production deadlines.
Conducting analysis of in-process and finished products, reporting results to the relevant production department within agreed turnaround times.
Following QSP analytical procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and product specification requirements.
Operating laboratory instrumentation including ICP-OES, AAS, autotitrators, and IC systems.
Verifying that all laboratory equipment is calibrated and fit for use prior to analysis.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe QC laboratory environment at all times.
Carrying out any additional duties assigned by the QC Team LeaderPerson Specification
BTEC, HNC/HND or Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry
ICP-AES or AAS experience preferable but not essentialApply
