We're looking for a Greenability Coordinator to join our team at thyssenkrupp Materials UK - a leading materials supplier committed to supporting a greener, more responsible future for manufacturing.
In this dynamic and cross-functional role, you’ll be at the heart of our customer sustainability offer, supporting external partners on the path toward carbon-reduced operations. You’ll champion sustainable materials, develop tools and reporting, support customer education and contribute to our corporate social responsibility initiatives.
This role is hybrid from our site in Cradley Heath but travel will be required occasionally and so you must be able to drive and have a valid UK driving license.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Sales Support
* Respond to customer enquiries on sustainability, including carbon data and material options
* Support the Sales team with sustainability-related training and customer communications
* Attend customer and supplier meetings focused on greenability and sustainability
* Create and deliver sustainability projects tailored to customer needs
Data & Reporting
* Manage the greenability inbox and all related enquiries
* Oversee how we provide and sell sustainability data, including completing customer carbon reporting
* Generate Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) reports and support Power App-based monitoring solutions
* Work with digital teams to develop and implement carbon tracking dashboards
Content & Promotion
* Curate and maintain a supplier database of carbon-reduced materials
* Map supply chains for customer transparency projects
* Curate and promote educational and promotional content including brochures, whitepapers, and videos
* Update and maintain the thyssenkrupp Materials UK sustainability report annually
* Support sustainability-themed events, conferences, and exhibitions
Strategy & CSR
* Contribute to the development of our sustainability consultancy and service library
* Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities including managing sponsorships and donations
* Research and propose sustainability leads, tailoring proposals to buyer KPIs
* Support and participate in “Team Beyond” – our internal social value and community initiative
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential:
* Passion for sustainability and climate-positive business practices
* Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical sustainability data for non-specialists
* Experience or aptitude for working with carbon calculators, lifecycle assessment tools, or dashboards
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities across internal teams and external stakeholders
* Confidence in customer-facing settings and a proactive attitude
Desirable:
* Knowledge of carbon accounting or materials science
* Experience using reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel, or Power Apps)
* Familiarity with PCF, LCA, or supply chain traceability tools
* Understanding of CSR frameworks and/or ESG strategy
