Job Description:
The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a Lecturer position to begin in Fall 2026. This is an annual 10-month non-tenure track appointment with the opportunity to teach in the summer as needed. The candidate appointed to this rank assume an instructional role, to include teaching (4:4) at the undergraduate level, advising, and participation in other professional service activities. Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated ability to teach Introduction to Cyberlaw and other related law classes.
2. Demonstrated ability to teach Introduction to Cybercriminology.
3. Demonstrated ability to teach coursework on cyber or online phenomena (e.g., coursework in Digital Sociology, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media, Surveillance).
4. Demonstrated ability to teach introductory criminology/criminal justice classes.
