It supports SLB through innovative engineering and quality-driven manufacturing, with portfolio emphasis on rotary steerable systems, Measurement While Drilling tools, Specialized Measurement tools and Rechargeable Batteries for Downhole use, and power source products.Over 300 employees work in SHTC's modern, fit-for-purpose building in scenic Gloucestershire. The facility was constructed to handle future demand for PowerDrive tools with an efficient workflow that ensures assembled tools are extensively and rigorously tested before delivery. On site, tools can be monitored using state of-the-art hardware and connectivity that link SHTC to all field locations.SHTC continues Research & Development investment for new technologies, extending operational limits so that clients can reach hotter, deeper reserves.Scope:Drive Innovation: Develop creative and cost-effective engineering solutions to enhance the performance, reliability, and sustainability of electronic tools and products.Apply Technical Expertise: Leverage your electrical engineering skills to analyze, design, and develop electronic boards, tools, and advanced test systems.Lead Development Stages: Participate in all phases of the development process, including design reviews, prototyping, system integration, qualification testing, and thorough documentation.Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of expertsspanning electrical, software, and mechanical engineers, as well as physicists and designersachieve project goals and deliver impactful results.Plan and Execute:Take ownership of technical planning for implementing changes in the field, conducting rigorous testing and validation, authoring functional specifications, and contributing to the development of innovative principles and concepts.DeliverablesPerform calculation\/simulations to validate designsDevelop electronic board and assembliesDevelop test system hardware\/software\/scripts for automated testingData analytic projectsWork with senior engineers to write and to release engineering documentsPresent work progress, study, findings and design in technical reviewsQualifications:Studying towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineAbility to read and interpret electronic schematicExperience with various electronic test instruments (oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, etc)Exposure to electrical and other simulation software (PSPICE, LTSpice, TiNA)Hands on experience with soldering and circuit testingAbility to work in a team and with strong service and quality focusExposure to any of the following would be a plus; MATLAB, SciLab, Octave, LabView, any eCAD softwarebSLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
