Gold Group is partnering with a leading engineering organisation to support the Abadi LNG Project.
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Planning Engineer with a strong background in LNG and major EPCI projects to play a key role in developing, managing, and analysing integrated project schedules across all phases of delivery.
This position offers an excellent long-term contract within a high-profile global project, working as part of a collaborative and technically strong planning team.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the integrated EPCI phase schedule, identifying critical activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
* Prepare, update, and maintain Level 1, 2, and 3 project schedules in alignment with project milestones and execution plans.
* Lead the development and coordination of project interface schedules, ensuring all dependencies are captured and managed effectively.
* Maintain robust planning systems, progress measurement, reporting, and trending procedures aligned with project requirements.
* Conduct in-depth reviews and analyses of schedule performance, progress reporting, and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
* Identify schedule risks or delays and recommend corrective actions to support project delivery and mitigate impacts.
* Perform critical path analysis and communicate key findings to the Project Management Team.
* Prepare and validate resource deployment plans, ensuring adequacy of manpower and equipment to meet project targets.
* Drive productivity and efficiency improvements through proactive analysis and recommendations.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Lead Planning Engineer on LNG, oil & gas, or major EPCI projects.
* Strong working knowledge of project controls, schedule development, and progress measurement methodologies.
* Proficient in Primavera P6 and related project planning tools.
* Demonstrated ability to lead schedule coordination across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work 4 days a week on-site in Leatherhead.
