Senior Optical Engineer Optical Space Payload Remote 12 months

Optical Engineer with Optical Payload experience required for design and verification contract for space instrument for ESA mission
* Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
* Comprehensive Optical Design knowledge for space / satellite applications.
* Strong Optical design experience with Optic Studio (Zemax) is essential.
* Design and analysis software knowledge with SolidWorks, Ansys, SigFit, Python preferred.
* Good working knowledge or understanding of electronics, opto-mechanics and electro-optical device physics.
* Experience with Optical Payloads (AIV) and Image Processing.
* Experience with appropriate materials and component selection, preferably within the space domain.
* Comfortable managing multiple design projects across project Lifecycle.
* Optical Ground Support Equipment experience would be desirable.
* BSc in Optics, Physics, Engineering or related field.
* Good knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project).
