Overview
Speyside Medical Group Partnership runs three practices in the Scottish Highlands and Moray with 9,000 patients across Aberlour, Glenlivet and Grantown-on-Spey. The Partnership works between and gains insights from NHS Highland and NHS Grampian.
The Grantown-on-Spey Practice has existed for many years. In April 2017 the Grantown Partnership took over the GMS contract for Glenlivet Medical Practice and became Speyside Medical Group. In April 2025 Speyside Medical Group took over the GMS contract for Aberlour Medical Practice, which had been a 2C Health and Social Care Moray run practice for over a year.
Role and responsibilities
Following the planned retiral of our long-standing Practice Manager in 2024, we are looking for a new, motivated individual to take on the full-time role of managing our team. The Practice Manager will:
* manage and coordinate all aspects of each practice’s functionality;
* motivate and manage staff;
* optimise efficiency and financial performance;
* collaborate with the partners to achieve the long-term strategic objectives for each practice in a safe and effective working environment.
Team and support
There is an established Operations Manager and Finance Manager in the team who will work with you. You will continue to manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality, motivate and manage staff, optimise efficiency and financial performance, and work with the partners towards the long-term strategic goals for each practice. There is a focus on high-quality patient care, which makes this a rewarding role.
Development and ethos
Training and mentoring will be provided by the current post-holder. We are a well-established, forward-thinking partnership of nine Partners with experienced clinical and administrative teams at each practice, including cross-cover where needed. Our ethos is: A healthy and happy team working together towards a healthier and happier community.
