Our client, a leading global provider of after-sales service, lifecycle support, and technical solutions for workboats and offshore support vessels, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their UK Service Hub team in Portsmouth. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring occasional short international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate warranty queries from customers
Provide clear verbal and written technical guidance
Coordinate, monitor, and supervise service activities, including occasional on-site support
Prepare technical and operational plans (resources, budget, scheduling)
Manage commercial assignments such as providing technical assistance
Travel internationally for training or support when required
Apply hands-on technical expertise across relevant vessel systems
Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSSEQ standards (Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality)
Job Requirements:
Vocational or Bachelor-level education in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding, or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of various ship systems
Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
Proactive, organised, and able to maintain oversight across multiple tasks
Experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
Strong command of written and spoken English
Practical technical experience; maritime background is beneficial
