Job Summary
The Home Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a care home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for residents. This position requires a compassionate leader with extensive experience in senior care, particularly in assisted living and nursing home environments. The Home Manager will be responsible for developing care plans, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a nurturing atmosphere for residents.
Duties
* Oversee the daily management of the care home, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents, focusing on their specific needs including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Supervise and lead a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care delivery.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
* Administer medications as required, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to medication protocols.
* Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and external agencies to promote a collaborative approach to care.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and staff performance to enhance service delivery.
* Participate in training and development initiatives to continually improve service quality within the home.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* Background in nursing or relevant qualifications in senior care is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of dementia care practices and experience in developing effective care plans.
* Excellent management skills with prior supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and resident satisfaction.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices within home care settings.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
