Job Summary

This is an exciting new position for an experienced Product Manager with gaming accessories or licensing experience to join the European PowerA & Kensington team.

This position will have responsibility for all aspects of product management related to our PowerA Gaming accessory product lines and channels.

The role will deliver an EMEA focused product roadmap, ensuring the range is correctly positioned, deliver launch plans, demand generation (with marketing), forecasting, pricing, sales training and customer presentations.

The position will understand local market and customer requirements while also working in close partnership with the PowerA Global Product Management and Development teams to ensure these needs are met.

To be closely aligned with the EMEA sales team across the organisation and will guide the sales team to success by identifying target areas to focus upon and enabling the team to win.

The successful candidate will be involved in delivering the right consumer led business opportunities, pitching product proposals and delivering the right products for the markets.

Responsibilities

1. Set the strategic tone and direction for the PowerA gaming category and products within EMEA
2. Deliver the business goals in terms of sales revenues, margin and share
3. Be the internal and external category + product + technical expert for the gaming accessories category of products
4. Partner with the global product/development/sourcing teams to ensure the vision/needs for the EMEA business are clearly conveyed and understood and becomes part of the global launch strategy for this category
5. Work with global marcomms and the regional marketing on the approval of product and category messaging, content, packaging, web and other assets
6. Own the new product introduction and pricing set up process to ensure all NPD is set up and ordered in a timely and accurate manner in line with the bi-annual businesses launch schedules of the PowerA brand
7. Develop and execute winning GTM strategies/tactics for the region. Driving sales to win placement and the global / regional marketing teams to drive demand generation
8. Develop and maintain a good relationship with the retail customer base, scoping out opportunities together with the sales team and be able to successfully influence potential customers of the superior specifications and quality of the range offering
9. Develop and deliver presentations, product training and the distribution of product samples and field support as needed
10. Own product lifecycle of the products from product set-up, data maintenance on ERP systems
11. Ensure that the products launching in the region meet all the required EMEA regulatory and compliance requirements by working with the appropriate compliance and development teams within the business
12. Align with sales and supply chain (demand & inventory planning) on developing initial sales forecasts through the product lifecycle to EOL/Phase Out. Ensuring there are no financial write offs
13. Be the guardian of category margins by setting price positioning, managing product mix, and managing sales promotional pricing requests

Qualifications

Essential

14. Proven retail and consumer product management experience within the gaming or licensing sector
15. Experience in project management and ability to multi-task
16. Strategic thinker demonstrating strong analytical and commercial skills/knowledge
17. Experienced in initiating and leading projects and developing product launch plans by leading cross-functional teams
18. Self-motivated, proactive and ability to work independently
19. Strong organisational, cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
20. Ability to organise work, manage time and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
21. Strong communicator with the ability to gain buy-in for product, marketing, and design objectives
22. Must have technology experience. Understand and be familiar with current technology trends, including how consumers adopt and use technology
23. Good numerical skills and capable of analysing, interpreting, and making strategic recommendations based on data from sales-in and sales-out, P&Ls, pricing and inventory reports
24. Strong presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to present at all levels
25. PC literate with excellent MS Office skills and knowledge of ERP systems will be an advantage

Desirable

26. A 2nd European language would be desirable
27. Educated to degree level, ideally within Marketing or Business
28. Ambitious and flexible with an eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced environment
29. Experience within Gaming and / or PC accessories sectors would be very advantageous
30. Be an active gamer
