Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Facilities Project Manager who will be responsible for the facilitation and coordination of the planning, execution and commissioning of infrastructure development projects within the Leonardo Helicopters Yeovil portfolio.
You will play a key role in delivering projects safely and to the highest standards within the assigned financial budgets and delivery targets.
This role is a level 6 on our Salary and Career Progression Framework (SC&PF).
You will be responsible for the through life management and delivery of your assigned projects, ensuring that all elements are compliant to all applicable legislation and Leonardo Policies and Procedures.
The role involves coordinating projects through definition, business approval, design development, procurement, construction and close out to the highest standards to schedule and budget as well as working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver your assigned projects.
1. Coordination of project resources in accordance with the LGS UK Facilities Projects governance processes (RIBA stages 1 to 7), including:Appointment of consultant teams to undertake cost management, project management and contract administration services as appropriate to a project.Appointment of an appropriate design team where necessary to assist delivery of a project and ensure they produce a fit for purpose design solution with proportional documentation, including specifications and drawings.Appointment of Principal Contractors and Principal Designers.Communicate technical specifications, scopes of work and designs with the internal stakeholders.Generate, update and communicate, detailed project plans that define the project tasks, critical path, dependencies, milestones and overall project duration.Ensure that all project tasks have a risk assessment and method statement approved by the LGS UK Head of Facilities Projects or authorised delegate prior to task launch, including subsequent issuing and tracking of relevant Permits of Work to Contractors.Generate, update and communicate the project Waste Management plan during the project lifecycle.Create investment business cases in line with the current Company/Departmental Processes.Raise purchase requisitions, receipt goods and/or goods/service receipt invoices against original submitted quotations and act as necessary to ensure that those tasks and projects are discharged efficiently and to the agreed quality/scope within the agreed levels of expenditure.Set up and facilitate regular project reviews with all key stakeholders.Identify risks, including quality, cost and schedule and agree and implement mitigation actions to ensure project success.Close all projects in accordance with the current company/departmental processes.On project handover/completion, issue and supply the OEM Manual to the IFM Partner and/or Production Maintenance Manager, arrange operator/process training, complete handover documentation and formally close the funding stream with the financial team.
2. To provide professional/technical advice in support of the successful delivery of infrastructure projects contributing to the 5 year business planning cycle and delivery of long term strategies.
3. Perform CDM inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative measures, and follow up on task completion.
4. Ensure that suitable and sufficient HSE arrangements are deployed and practiced on all projects in accordance with current UK Legislation, LDO UK Policies and Procedures and the LHUK HSEMSM.
5. Collaborate with specialists such as Architects, Engineers and local Government Officials for Permits and Licences.
6. Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion whilst monitoring compliance with safety and building regulations.
7. Ensure all legal requirements, building regulations, safety codes, safety inspections, and local and national regulations are met.
8. Manage health and safety issues, ensuring Contractors have a safe working environment within which to operate, aligned to the CDM process.
9. Ensure compliance with the LGS UK Facilities project governance processes.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
10. Qualified professional and/or in depth experience of relevant subject matter.
11. Recognised Project Management qualification e.g. APM, Prince2 and PMI desirable
12. Best practices, methods, trends and legislation in property, environmental and construction services.
13. Project and risk management skills.
14. Project management policies and procedures.
15. Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
16. Negotiation skills to the extent of being able to deal effectively with managers, employees, customers, suppliers and the enforcing authorities.
17. Ability to work effectively as a team member and share knowledge to support continual process of learning and improvement.
18. Experience across a range of real estate and infrastructure projects.
19. Experience delivering studies, feasibility, concept designs and/or detail design.
20. Interpersonal and team skills and able to communicate and interact at all company levels.
21. Computer literate with competency in Company standard software, including SAP and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
22. Financial competence regarding budgetary control.
23. NEBOSH Construction Certificate level qualification desirable
24. Fully conversant with Facilities Management processes and procedures (CDM).
