Maintenance Engineer (3602955) North Lincolnshire, England
Salary: £51,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights.
You will be doing reactive and preventative maintenance on various machinery and implementing continuous improvement to keep production running.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems to minimise production downtime
* Take a hands‑on approach in both scheduled maintenance and immediate breakdown response
* Maintain, optimise, and repair a range of equipment including slicing systems, seasoning units, conveyors, and automated packaging lines
* Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to increase machine efficiency and reduce unplanned stoppages
* Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure smooth running of equipment and minimal disruption
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and internal maintenance procedures at all times
Skills & Experience Required:
* Strong hands‑on experience working with both electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or production setting
* Relevant engineering qualification – such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC/HND or equivalent apprenticeship
* Experience in a similar role such as multi‑skilled engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, engineering technician, electrical maintenance engineer
* Practical knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting automated machinery – particularly in packaging or food processing environments (preferred but not essential)
* Confidence in reacting to breakdowns as well as carrying out preventative maintenance tasks
