Job Title: Referral Management Administrator
The Referral Management Centre was established to support the national Patient Choice agenda, offering patients the option to choose their treatment location, healthcare professional, and appointment details.
Due to service expansion, we are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organized individuals for multiple Referral Management Administrator positions at our call centre in Leyland.
Ideal candidates will excel in communication, work well under pressure, and provide high-quality service to patients, clinical staff, and partner organizations.
Main Duties:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support for all Referral Management Centre functions.
2. Manage referrals, appointments, and transport bookings, liaising with primary, community, and secondary care providers.
3. Utilize systems such as the Integrated Referral Gateway, e-referral, RIO, and web-based ambulance booking.
4. Maintain high standards of customer service, responding to patient and GP queries effectively.
5. Book and manage patient appointments and transport, ensuring compliance with NHS waiting time standards.
6. Handle complex enquiries from various stakeholders, ensuring smooth patient journeys.
7. Input confidential patient data accurately and maintain data quality and confidentiality.
8. Participate in team meetings and contribute to policy updates.
9. Assist in developing IT systems and produce statistical reports as needed.
