We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join us in London.
Liberty Blume Tax is built on four core pillars: Corporation Tax, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Global Tax Governance. This role primarily focuses on the Global Tax Governance and Corporation Tax areas.
As part of Blume Tax, you will handle a mix of in-house tax matters and external client engagements, covering tax compliance and reporting.
The Tax Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving current processes, such as CBCR and Pillar 2 compliance (Global Tax Governance) and quarterly US GAAP reporting (Corporation Tax).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment balancing internal tax responsibilities with client-facing projects.
What will you be doing?
1. Assisting the Tax Director in ensuring accuracy and completeness of Pillar 2 provisioning figures and annual compliance.
2. Serving as a reliable deputy for the Tax Director and communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Monitoring Pillar 2 tax compliance requirements and deadlines, including legislative changes, submissions, and notifications to tax authorities.
4. Performing and reviewing tax provisioning for US GAAP reporting for Liberty Global.
5. Working on global tax provisioning projects with clients across the Liberty Global federation and external clients.
6. Fulfilling Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR) requirements.
7. Gathering inputs from non-tax departments and preparing memos to support Tax Governance and Compliance deliverables, such as SAO certification, Business Continuity, Operating Model, and Tax Policy.
8. Acting as the key contact for external stakeholders, including tax strategy and accounting teams, regarding the tax provisioning process and information.
9. Assisting with collecting and providing relevant information for R&D claim submissions for Liberty Global, liaising with relevant internal departments and external tax advisors.
10. Mentoring and coaching tax graduates.
We tend to look for people with:
* Experience in an in-house tax function or a tax advisory role, preferably with Big4 firms.
* CTA/ACA/CIMA or other relevant qualifications.
* Ability to work independently on complex and judgmental tasks.
* Understanding of OECD BEPS initiatives, especially CBCR and Pillar 2.
* Foundations of leadership skills, including forming opinions and proposing recommendations.
* Excellent communication skills—ability to clearly explain tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
What’s in it for you?
* Competitive salary
* Matched pension contribution up to 10%
* 25 days annual leave, with an option to purchase 5 more, plus paid volunteering days
* Access to health benefits such as Calm app, medical coverage, critical illness, and dental insurance
* Access to our car benefit scheme
* Opportunities for professional development, including upskilling, mentoring, and online learning
* Modern office and hybrid working environment
* The chance to join an innovative, fast-paced, and passionate team
