The Coordinator of Articulation and Transfer Credit Evaluation is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and processing incoming transfer credits from other colleges, universities, and alternative credit sources to determine equivalency. This position ensures accurate and timely recording of transfer credit decisions and supports students, advisors, and faculty in understanding transfer credit policies and procedures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Evaluate incoming official transcripts and other academic records from accredited institutions to determine transferability of coursework per institution and state policies.
Research course descriptions, syllabi, and catalogs to establish course comparability.
Enter approved transfer credits into the student information system (e.g., WorkDay Student, Colleague, etc.) accurately and promptly.
Communicate and respond to student inquiries about transfer credit evaluation results and provide guidance on next steps.
Collaborate with academic departments to review and approve course substitutions and exceptions, evaluate international transcripts, and coordinate related academic reviews.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transfer articulation agreements and accreditation standards.
Interpret and apply TAOC (Transfer and Articulation Oversight Committee) guidelines to ensure compliance with statewide transfer and articulation agreements.
Evaluate and record Advanced Placement (AP) scores from Collegeboard.
Assist with developing and maintaining the institution's transfer credit database and articulation guides.
Participate in process improvements to enhance accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in transfer credit evaluations.
Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation of evaluations performed.
Participate in professional development and training related to transfer and articulation.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a registrar's office or similar student services area in higher education.
Working knowledge of FERPA and records compliance in an academic setting.
Experience with student information systems (e.g., Workday Student and/or Colleague) and document imaging platforms (e.g., Perceptive Content or similar).
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Salary Range $50, ,630 (commensurate with experience)
