We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our Hard FM team at HMRC Glasgow, East Kilbride, G79 1AA. Reporting to the Hard FM Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering day‑to‑day maintenance across a regional cluster, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality service delivery at all times.
This is a hands‑on role maintaining modern commercial facilities while supporting 100% statutory compliance and outstanding client service.
What You’ll Do
* Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across M&E systems
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently
* Ensure statutory compliance and accurate CAFM/CMMS updates
* Work with subcontractors and support minor works/projects
* Follow H&S, RAMS and COSHH requirements at all times
* Complete helpdesk tasks within SLA and expedite risks where required
* Support apprentices and maintain professional client relationships
* Participate in on‑call and occasional out‑of‑hours rota
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent)
* City & Guilds Inspection & Testing Level 3
* Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
* Strong knowledge of electrical compliance and safe systems of work
* Full UK driving licence
* IT literate (Microsoft Office & CMMS systems)
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable:
* Experience in Hard FM / Property Maintenance
* Previous AP/CP appointment
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations
* Experience working with subcontractors
