What will you be doing?
The HR Business Partner delivers a holistic, influential, and proactive HR support service. The role collaborates with the business leadership team, under the guidance of the Head of HR and Senior HR Business Partner, to implement the People Plan/HR strategy and provide frontline support, coaching, and advice to management teams.
This position manages client groups within the North West route, providing face-to-face support to line managers on complex employee relations cases, aligned with HR policies and procedures, and developing line managers. Travel around the North West will be expected.
About the role (External):
Every day will be different, but you can expect to be involved in the following activities:
1. Implementing and delivering the HR Strategy/People Plan to support business objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
2. Building strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders; coaching and advising on HR issues.
3. Providing operational HR support on employee relations, sickness, absence, organizational change, staffing, and compensation.
4. Delivering cost-effective, responsive people solutions aligned with business needs.
5. Collaborating with HR functions, including Centres of Expertise, HR Direct, and HR Shared Services.
6. Working with Union representatives to support business solutions.
7. Collaborating with other HR Business Partners on cross-geographical issues.
Qualifications and skills:
* Strong business acumen and understanding of business needs.
* Experience in partnership and building relationships with senior managers.
* Customer service orientation and ability to demonstrate achievements through business results.
* Experience in employee relations, advising on disciplinary, grievance, and sickness cases.
* Knowledge of HR best practices to promote high performance.
* Coaching and influencing senior managers.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Ability to identify, develop, and retain talent.
* Proficiency in HR knowledge; CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience in complex working environments and project management.
* Experience in unionized settings.
